Pennsylvania mother shares viral moment with Trump at McDonald’s drive-thru

A Pennsylvania mother who was served by the former President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, 78, at McDonald’s has shared the request that she had made to the former president after she got surprised by him at the drive-thru window.
Trump on Sunday donned the yellow and black apron and worked at a fry station during a visit to a McDonald’s in Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania. Trump’s visit comes after Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, previously said that she worked at the fast food chain during her college time. Trump has denied the claim of Kamala Harris, 60.
The mother, Nayara Andrejczyk, whose clip went viral on social media, drove up to the McDonald’s window where Trump was waiting with her order.
People on social media focused on something she said to the former president during their quick conversation.
“Mr. President, please don’t let the US become Brazil, my native Brazil, please,” Andrejczyk said, according to Fox News.
“We’re going to make it better than ever, ok?” Trump replied.
Andrejczyk, who moved to the US from Brazil 26 years ago, was asked about her comment during an interview on “The Story” on Monday.
“My parents were victims of Brazilian corruption, government corruption,” Andrejczyk told anchor Martha MacCallum. “My mom lost a pretty successful business… almost 30 years ago, and that’s the reason why we moved to the United States.”
“I am very grateful for this country. I love this country,” she continued. “And I don’t want to see this country become the corrupt sewage that Brazil is at this moment, where politicians do whatever they want with no accountability to the people.”
Andrejczyk said she was invited to a Trump campaign event but didn’t know the former president would be working at the drive-thru until she heard excitement from the car ahead of her.
“There was no stunt over there. Of course, we knew something was up because of the level of security,” Andrejczyk said, but “it was a great surprise to see him there. He’s a very charismatic person and very relatable,” reported Fox News.
Andrejczyk said that her brief chat with Trump felt like “meeting a friend.”.
“He looked us in the eye. The way he communicated with us, the way he greeted my children in the back seat. It was incredible. My kids were [saying] I can’t believe I shook Donald Trump’s hand,” she said. “I’m not going to wash my hands for the next couple of days. He was very genuine. He’s a genuine man.”
At the food chain, Trump was smiling, cooking fries, and handing out orders to the customers, pledging to Make America Great Again if he was elected for the second term of the White House, according to Fox News.
Donald Trump shortly after his visit to McDonald’s, controversy erupted online with people sharing images of a notice that was displayed at the food chain outlet.
The notice is addressed to customers and says that the outlet would remain shut that day for Trump’s visit until 4 pm. The notice has sparked accusations that the event was “staged” and orchestrated for the cameras.
However, some users came in support of Trump and defended the closure of McDonald’s as necessary for security reasons.
